Hidden deep beneath the Royal Mile lies Edinburgh’s deepest secret; a warren of hidden closes where real people lived, worked and died. For centuries the real stories have remained untold - until now.
This un-missable five star underground attraction is one of Edinburgh’s most famous Closes on the Royal Mile. It is a curious network of streets, townhouses and rooms - a time capsule of four centuries of life in Edinburgh’s Old Town and important piece of Edinburgh’s rich history.
Tours run daily and leave every 20 minutes, lasting one hour. The site is dark and mysterious and not suitable for children under the age of five years old. Prebooking is recommended especially at peak times.
